Asked Questions
1. Is a M.D. referral necessary?
Yes, we only accept patients who have been
determined to have a neurosurgical condition by their personal or emergency
treating physician. HMO patients must have a written PCP referral
prior to each visit and pre-authorization for all admissions and procedures.
Workers compensation must have approval prior to visit.
2. Do I need to bring any X-rays or medical
reports with me?
Yes, please bring all X-rays relevant to your
condition including doctor's notes and operative reports which are relevant
to your neurosurgical condition.
3. Do I need to pay for my office visit?
Yes, please bring proof of insurance and be
prepared to pay copayments at the time of service. If you have no
insurance, be prepared to pay for the visit prior to service. We
accept the following credit cards: Mastercard, Visa, American Express and
Discover.
4. Do I need to bring my medications?
No, but please bring a written list of all
medications with dosages and schedules.
5. Do I need to have surgery if I am seen
in the office?
No, some neurosurgical conditions can be treated
with medications or other conservative means such as physical therapy or
injections.
